One afternoon in early March, I found a box with tattered magazines, containing colour plates of paintings from old masters, many of whom I had not previously been aware. I did a speed paint session, taking random plates as inspiration and adding my own twist. Each 6 x 7 inch piece was done in a matter of minutes, forcing me to capture as much as possible in a tight space on a tight deadline. Acrylics and pastels on paper.
