These scraggly looking muslin and cotton reusable teabags turned out quite well, considering the baths in scalding tea made from herbs and spices. The smaller dyed bags are 3 x 2.25 inches and 3.5 x 3 inches. I laid them over egg boxes to dry and they look quite decent. At left, lemongrass and thyme; cinnamon (top), moringa (yellow) and clove and sorrel (red).
These smaller teabags will be filled with an inert powder or ground spice and hang in clusters within my installation Foreigner Within, at the Grenada Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in April, referencing the power of bush teas in Grenada culture to cure or soothe most ills.
