HAITI, the first free black republic in the world has a multi-layered history, to which Grenada is connected in the person of Henri Christophe, King Henry I of Haiti. Christophe was born on Sans Souci Estate in Saint Andrew in October 1767. The Haiti Series are works created in or inspired by my visits to Haiti in 2013 and 2014.
